We provide the interconnectivity or can otherwise facilitate any of the methods described below. We do not handle credit card processing
ourselves, however we do manage most of the process for you. You will have to sign the appropriate agreements with the
merchant account provider.
Simply, you must accept credit cards to make money on the web. There are basically three ways to do this:
- Set up a merchant account and manually process orders.
- Set up a merchant account and use a "gateway" provider to automatically process credit card orders.
- Set up an account with PayPal.

- Merchant Account - In order to accept a credit card as payment for any product or service, a merchant has to set up an
account with a bank and/or credit card processing service. The card processors charge fees for setting up the account, providing
software or hardware, and transaction fees. They act as intermediaries between the merchant and Visa, etc.
There are numerous independent agents for credit card processing companies. You MUST look at the charges very carefully and
compare the services on a one-to-one basis.
For a standard merchant account you can plan on some or all of the following fees:
- Application Fee
- Hardware/Software Fee
- Discount Fees
- Transaction Fees
- Gateway - Another way to accept credit cards is to open an account with an online processor. These companies usually provide software to allow
you to hook up to your online storefront. Credit cards are processed in real time while the customer waits. You still have merchant account fees and
the credit card processor charges setup fee and transaction fees.
- PayPal - Lastly, services such as PayPal are available to help you accept credit cards. This is the cheapest and least complex method for accepting
credit cards. Our storefronts offer seamless integration of PayPal.
